Senate amendment to H.R. 1892 -Honoring Hometown Heroes Act [Further Extension of Continuing Appropriations Act, 2018]

  1. Provides for the consideration of the Senate amendment to H.R. 1892.
  2. Makes in order a motion offered by the chair of the Committee on Appropriations or his designee that the House concur in the Senate amendment with an amendment consisting of the text of Rules Committee Print 115-58 modified by the amendment printed in the Rules Committee report.
  3. Waives all points of order against consideration of the motion.
  4. Provides that the Senate amendment and the motion shall be considered as read.
  5. Provides one hour of debate on the motion equally divided and controlled by the chair and ranking minority member of the Committee on Appropriations.

 

RESOLUTION

Resolved, That upon adoption of this resolution it shall be in order to take from the Speaker's table the bill (H.R. 1892) to amend title 4, United States Code, to provide for the flying of the flag at half-staff in the event of the death of a first responder in the line of duty, with the Senate amendment thereto, and to consider in the House, without intervention of any point of order, a motion offered by the chair of the Committee on Appropriations or his designee that the House concur in the Senate amendment with an amendment consisting of the text of Rules Committee Print 115-58 modified by the amendment printed in the report of the Committee on Rules accompanying this resolution. The Senate amendment and the motion shall be considered as read. The motion shall be debatable for one hour equally divided and controlled by the chair and ranking minority member of the Committee on Appropriations. The previous question - shall be considered as ordered on the motion to its adoption without intervening motion.

MANAGER’S AMENDMENT Corrects Prevention and Public Health funding modification to reflect current law funding for FY 2028 and beyond.Corrects the date for the hospital-hospice policy, from 2023 to fiscal year 2023. Corrects the date for the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission’s hospital-hospice study. Corrects the date of the home health market basket policy from calendar year 2019 to calendar year 2020. Corrects the market basket adjustment of the home health policy from 1.4-percent to 1.5-percent.
