Summary

H.R. 1473 represents the final agreement between the House, Senate, and White House on a final FY2011 Continuing Resolution which will prevent a government shutdown, fund the entire federal government until September 30, 2011, and provide essential funding for national defense. In addition, H.R. 1473 will reduce federal spending by nearly $40 billion.

 

H.Con.Res. 35 is the enrollment correction that provides for an up or down vote on the defunding of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare).

H.Con.Res. 36 is the enrollment correction that provides for an up or down vote on defunding Planned Parenthood.

  • Total Debate Time: Provides one hour of general debate for H.R. 1473 equally divided and controlled by the chair and ranking minority member of the Committee on Appropriations. Also, the rule provides twenty minutes of debate on H.Con.Res. 35, and twenty minutes of debate on H.Con.Res. 36, to be equally divided and controlled by the chair and ranking minority member of the Committee on Appropriations.
  • The rule directs the Clerk to refrain from sending the bill to the President until she is notified that the Senate has held a vote on adoption of H.Con.Res. 35 and 36.
