The Committee on Rules may meet the week of February 13^th to grant a rule that could limit the amendment process for floor consideration of H.R. 7, the American Energy and Infrastructure Jobs Act of 2012.

Rules Committee Print 112-14, which is posted on the Rules Committee website.  The Rules Committee Print largely reflects the text of H.R. 7, as reported by Transportation & Infrastructure, H.R. 3548, as reported by Energy & Commerce, H.R. 3864, as reported by Ways & Means, H.R. 3813, as reported by Oversight & Government Reform, and H.R. 3407, H.R. 3408 and H.R. 3410, as reported by Natural Resources.

Members should use the Office of Legislative Counsel to ensure that their amendments are drafted in the most appropriate format. Members should also check with the Office of the Parliamentarian, the Committee on the Budget, and the Congressional Budget Office to be certain their amendments comply with the rules of the House and the Congressional Budget Act.
