WASHINGTON, DC — Rules Committee Chairman James P. McGovern (D-MA) today announced that the Rules Committee will mark up H. Res. 755, impeaching Donald John Trump, President of the United States, for high crimes and misdemeanors, on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM ET in H-313, The Capitol. Chairman McGovern released the following statement:
WASHINGTON, DC— Congresswoman Donna Shalala (FL-27) announced today that Congressman Alcee Hastings (FL-20), Chairman of the Rules Committee's Subcommittee on Legislative and Budget Process, has invited her to lead a subcommittee hearing on human trafficking Wednesday, December 11th at 10:30 AM EDT in H-313, the Capitol.

- H.R. 3724 – Accreditation for College Excellence Act of 2023 [End Woke Higher Education Act]
- H.R. 4790 – Guiding Uniform and Responsible Disclosure Requirements and Information Limits Act of 2023 [Prioritizing Economic Growth Over Woke Policies Act]

Member Day Hearing on Proposed Rules Changes for the 119th Congress
Dear Colleague:
As the Committee on Rules prepares for the 119th Congress, I wanted to inform members of an important hearing my committee will be holding. As we have done in previous Congresses, the Committee on Rules will hold a Member Day hearing at 10:00 AM onThursday, September 19th, 2024 in H-313, The Capitol regarding proposed changes to the standing rules of the House.
The purpose of this hearing is to receive input from Members about possible improvements to the Rules of the House for the 119th Congress. I welcome your input and encourage you to bring your suggestions before the Committee.
Any Member wishing to testify should complete this form by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024. I also ask that you submit a short summary of your proposal and any legislative text that may be available with your request to testify. Please make one submission per idea. All submissions will be made available to the Committee’s majority and minority staffs. Please note that staff must be on the House network, either physically or remotely via virtual private network (VPN), in order to access the online submission form.
