WASHINGTON, DC — Rules Committee Chairman James P. McGovern (D-MA) announced today that author and advocate Ady Barkan will testify at the House Rules Committee’s hearing on the Medicare for All Act of 2019 on Tuesday, April 30th at 10am ET in in H-313, The Capitol.
WASHINGTON, DC — Rules Committee Chairman James P. McGovern (D-MA), Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), and Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-MI) announced today that the House Rules Committee will hold an original jurisdiction hearing on the Medicare for All Act of 2019 on Tuesday, April 30th at 10am ET in H-313, The Capitol. It marks the first time Congress has ever held a hearing on Medicare for All.

H.R. 6285 – Alaska’s Right to Produce Act of 2023
Dear Colleague:
The Committee on Rules may meet the week of April 29th to provide for floor consideration of H.R. 6285.
If a Member wishes to offer an amendment for consideration, they must submit a searchable electronic copy of the amendment, which should be provided by the Office of Legislative Counsel, via the Rules Committee’s website by 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Please note that staff must be on the House network, either physically or remotely via virtual private network (VPN), in order to access the online submission form.
Members should draft their amendments to the text of H.R. 6285, which is available on the Rules Committee website.
Members should use the Office of Legislative Counsel to ensure that their amendments are drafted in the most appropriate format. Members should check with the Office of the Parliamentarian and the Committee on the Budget to be certain their amendments comply with the rules of the House and the Congressional Budget Act.
